Instructor Spotlight: Gabriele “Gabe” Deliperi
Inspired by Green Day and passionate about songwriting, Gabriele brings a creative, student-focused approach to every lesson. He loves helping students break challenging concepts into simple, achievable steps.
1. How long have you been playing music?
I’ve been playing music since 2012. I first started playing electric guitar after listening to Green Day's live album, Bullet in a Bible. I was completely inspired by the raw energy of Billie Joe Armstrong.
2. What instruments do you teach?
At Guitar Ninjas, I teach guitar, piano, drums, and bass. I am also proficient in teaching voice and music theory, but my true fortes are composition and songwriting.
3. What inspired you to become a music teacher?
Passing music down to the next generation is so important because we want them to succeed and keep writing great music. Being a teacher today is a wonderful way to build real, meaningful relationships with students and remind them that making music together is how we truly thrive.
4. What do you enjoy most about working with students?
I most enjoy the challenge of breaking down difficult concepts and explaining them in a simple, accessible way. It challenges me to make sure I deeply understand the concept myself! Plus, seeing that moment where something clicks in a student's mind is absolutely invaluable.
5. Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
My biggest musical influences are Ennio Morricone, John Williams, and John Powell.
6. What's one piece of advice you'd give to a new music student?
Don’t trade what you want most for what you want right now. Be patient and trust the process!
7. Fun question: If you could jam with any musician, living or dead, who would it be?
Ennio Morricone, without a doubt.
